When you hire Piano Hedgehog, you can be assured that your ears will be on the receiving end of some seriously chilled-out, soothing music. Weddings are a day for the stresses and strains of everyday life to be put to one side! My performances are designed first and foremost with beauty in mind. My playing style is romantic and tranquil. Have a listen for yourself and see what you think (and feel):
Why choose Piano Hedgehog?
- I will liaise with the venue and other suppliers, as necessary, in the weeks leading up to your wedding.
- I will create beautiful piano arrangements of the music you have chosen for me to play, exclusively for your wedding day.
- I will work with you on a music plan for your day.
- My price includes Zoom/Skype/FaceTime consultation(s) when I will play various music ideas to you to help you choose.
How your quotation is calculated
A wedding day can generally be divided into 4 main sections:
1. Wedding Ceremony – music as guests arrive, as you walk down the aisle (entry), during signing of registers, walking down the aisle (exit).
2. Drinks Reception – music during photographs and guests mingling. This music can help to provide an ice breaker atmosphere when guests might not know each other very well.
3. Wedding Breakfast – add a personalised touch to this, the most amazing feast you’ve ever had! Choose your favourite songs and I’ll play them as you and your friends/family enjoy the beautiful food and atmosphere.
4. Turnaround Period – this is the period after the wedding speeches, before the evening reception begins. Your evening guests will be arriving during this time. My piano music will set a beautiful tone for all, and get everyone in the mood for a fab evening ahead!
Most couples book Piano Hedgehog for 3 or 4 sections of their wedding day. Prices are based on your specific requirements.

Your Piano Hedgehog quotation price includes:
– Online meetings on Zoom/Skype/FaceTime, between you and me, so that you will be able to chat to me about all your ideas, and hear me play things through on the piano. This will help you to select the best choices to fit your personality, preferences and tastes.
– My time for making piano arrangements, and practising these, of any repertoire/song choices you have requested (by prior agreement).
– Public Liability insurance cover of £10m, and all my equipment is PAT tested. My equipment is also insured with specialist insurers. Not all pianists offer this, but virtually all venues do insist on it!
– Liaising with you – and also with the venue and other suppliers – to ensure that nothing is overlooked or forgotten. Attention to detail is essential in ensuring you receive the ultimate, professional experience, in addition to treating your ears, and the ears of your guests, to the most sublime music to help make your day the most special and memorable it can be.
All of these costs are included in the single, fully inclusive price that I quote you.
Before deciding whether to go ahead or not…
I would urge you to Google prices of other UK wedding pianists. A quick question to Google, such as: how much is a pianist for a wedding uk? will demonstrate that my prices are really competitive. Please always bear in mind that a really good pianist will enhance your day, whilst a cheaper, less-skilled pianist can so easily ruin the atmosphere.
You don’t have to be a skilled musician to judge whether something sounds beautiful or not! Trust your ears, and take a listen to examples of my playing from my live and recorded video galleries.
I wish you well with your wedding planning. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, comments, etc about my quote or about what I do.
